Dear Brother ___________,
I'm glad you found help in the material from L. A. Smith, the assistant editor of the Review back in 1888. I was quite delighted when I came across it for the first time myself. I had been answering another query similar to yours, and it struck me as likely that some Adventist had responded to Margaret Fox Kane's attempts to declare her earlier experience a hoax. By paging through the Review of that year, I came upon the article that I sent to you.
I was interested to read your own story as you presented it there. I can well understand the feelings that came over you on this occasion, based on your college experience, and I'm glad to have been able to provide you with information that put the matter into a better perspective for you. I am also sad, as you are, that young people attending our schools sometimes have experiences such as you described. May the Lord help us to build faith in others, or if we can't do that, at least not to tear their faith down.
Thank you for letting me know the rest of the story. May the Lord guide and bless you as you seek to live for Him.
